Vance Wealth is built on a set of shared values, and as we looked back at 2021, we noticed a particular focus on one – the desire to get more involved in the community.

“When we defined our core values as a firm, we knew we wanted our team to be charitably inclined and community-minded. This is a shared value of many of our clients as well,” said John Vance, President and Visionary of Vance Wealth.

We proudly announce that the Vance Wealth team put their time and resources into many vital causes last year. Keeping up with the tradition of giving, the firm gave over 5% of its annual profits to local charities.

“That’s one of the reasons we value growth so much,” John explained. “As we grow, we can expand our team, help more families achieve their financial goals, and dedicate more resources to our local nonprofits. It’s how we all achieve more together.”

In addition to the firm’s donated profits, Vance Wealth team members gave their time to the community, too. John continued to support Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) as Chair of the Board. Tara White served as Co-chair of the Empowering HeArts Committee, which organizes the nonprofit’s largest fundraiser and gala of the year. Chris Pelch is the Board Treasurer of Friends In Deed in Pasadena. Tyler Tilton serves on the board of the Burbank Police Foundation and Jerrod on the SCV Boys and Girls Club Advisory Board. Additionally, Jason Lane joined the Board of Family Promise of Santa Clarita this past year.

John also worked as Chair of the Board for the SCV Chamber of Commerce, but he wasn’t the only one to get involved with the SCV Chamber. Jerrod Ferguson and Tara White served on the NextSCV Steering Committee, a Chamber council for young professionals. Together, they co-chaired a successful trivia night for young professionals and helped coordinate an arts event that donated proceeds to SMO.

Tara was recognized for her work with SMO and NextSCV. She was named one of the Santa Clarita Valley 40 Under Forty, an annual award recognizing young people who serve the community through professional and charitable efforts.

And as 2021 wrapped up, Vance Wealth received the Valley Industry Association (VIA) Rising Star Award during the organization’s 40th-anniversary celebration. It was an honor for the whole team, and everyone is looking forward to another year of giving in 2022.
