From the Desk of John Vance: A Season of Milestones, Momentum, and Gratitude
It’s been one of those seasons that keeps you moving – in the best possible way. From meaningful family celebrations to exciting firm growth, we’ve had a lot to be grateful for at Vance Wealth.
Celebrating Family Moments
At home, we celebrated Addison’s 16th birthday with a Sweet Sixteen party at the house. She invited 45 of her classmates—many from theatre and show choir—and Carmen helped her plan every detail. With Addison’s love for all things pink, naturally the entire setup followed suit.
We brought in a Teppanyaki chef and hosted everyone in the backyard. It was the perfect evening and one of those memories we’ll hold onto forever.
A Golf Adventure at Bandon Dunes
Not long after, I took a golf trip to Bandon Dunes in Oregon with friends and clients from Valencia Country Club. If you’ve been, you know—it’s one of the top courses in the country. It lived up to every expectation.
We played 36 holes a day for four days straight, walking 12–15 miles a day. Despite the mileage, the beauty of the Oregon coast and the company made it feel like a true vacation.
Celebrating Tyler Tilton’s Wedding
Another standout moment this quarter was celebrating Tyler Tilton’s wedding at a stunning resort in Palos Verdes. Seeing so many familiar faces from our team there to support him made it feel like a Vance Wealth family milestone. Tyler has been a key part of our journey, and cheering him on in this new chapter was incredibly special.
Sharing Our Story at the Insider’s Forum
Professionally, a highlight was speaking at Bob Veres’ Insider’s Forum in New Orleans alongside Co-owner and COO Chris Pelch. We shared our journey over the last five years since forming our RIA—the challenges, role evolution, and growth along the way.
Our panel was well received, and the conversations afterward were a great reminder of how far we’ve come—and the potential ahead. Carmen joined me later in the trip, and we spent a few days in Baton Rouge visiting a dear friend, which was a great way to unwind after a packed schedule.
Growing Our Team
This quarter, we welcomed Nicole Lewis as our new Director of Coaching & Implementation. With experience at Raymond James and Fidelity, she brings valuable insight to our advisor development efforts.
For years, advisor training has been a hands-on effort led by myself and our senior advisors—effective, but difficult to scale. Nicole’s arrival strengthens our ability to grow and support our talent. She’ll be working remotely from Florida, and although we weren’t actively hiring for this role, once we met her, it was clear she was exactly what the team needed.
We also extended our two fantastic interns, Sierra and Lucas, through the fall. Watching their development has been another bright spot.
Exciting Progress in Costa Mesa
We’re thrilled to share that our Costa Mesa office is almost up and running. Furniture installation is nearly complete, and the space will soon be fully functional. We look forward to hosting clients and expanding our local team in the months ahead.
Gratitude for the Season
There’s a lot happening and a lot to look forward to. As always, I’m grateful for the meaningful work we get to do, the people we serve, and the team that makes it possible. I’m excited for what’s ahead as we continue to Achieve More—together.
Warmly,
John Vance, CFP®, CEPA®, CDFA™
