Twice a day, Tyler uses the 4-7-8 breathing technique and meditation in the morning and evening. This particular form of breathwork helps release tension in the body and stress in the mind, and it can even help those who suffer from insomnia fall asleep more easily. To practice 4-7-8 breathing, sit in a comfortable position and exhale completely, blowing out through your mouth. Next, inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four, and then hold your breath for a count of seven. Finally, exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight. This is a one breath cycle. Repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
