In the Community – Join Us For Empowering HeArts
If you love inspiring speakers, captivating artwork and supporting a local cause, then Empowering HeArts will be the highlight of your 2021 event season.
Each year, Single Mothers Outreach hosts an inspiring gala event that honors six local women and six local artists who share their stories on stage and on the canvas.
“Empowering HeArts is a celebration of women who have changed lives and shaped their communities amidst adversity,” explained Director of Productivity Tara White, who is also a member of the Empowering HeArts Committee and Co-chair of the event. “It bridges the worlds of social action and artistic expression to tell the honorees’ real-life stories of survival. It’s our hope that through their powerful stories, these extraordinary women will inspire others to rise above their own circumstances, too.”
Each year, the chosen honorees embody a different theme. This year’s theme is “Survivor,” and the stories of strength and perseverance are sure to be profound.
“The great thing about this event is we get to canvas the community to find women who embody these important characteristics,” John explained, “and then we get to see each artist capture the honoree’s spirit and story through different mediums. It’s an inspiring event, and we’re very proud to celebrate these women and sponsor this vital Santa Clarita nonprofit.”
With a mission to empower local families, Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) helps single parents find jobs and education, stabilize their family’s emotional state, manage their finances, and help one another. By providing hope, support and resources, SMO helps families in our community become self-sustaining and thrive.
