With an accounting background as an auditor for 401k plans, Josh Mumper is passionate about guiding plan sponsors to create and implement successful plans in his role as a Wealth Advisor. Born in Pennsylvania but raised in Santa Clarita since a young age, Josh attended Trinity Classical Academy before going on to Liberty University, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in business management. Inspired by his father’s passion for investing and capital markets, Josh got his professional start working for the family business as the Operations/Finance Manager for forensic engineering firm Richard Mumper & Associates. He later took his first accounting role with HCVT, the 6th largest CPA firm in Los Angeles, where he specifically focused on auditing 401k plans. This role gave him a firm foundation in the details of retirement plans, including compliance and the characteristics of a successful plan. When Josh learned of the position available at Vance Wealth, he was ready to work more directly with clients and was immediately drawn to the firm-wide commitment to continuous growth. In his current role, Josh enjoys putting his strengths to work for the benefit of the clients, as he helps ensure excellent service from the moment the client is onboarded. When he’s not supporting clients, he oversees compliance for clients’ 401k and tax plans, as well as for the firm itself.  Josh is currently studying for his CFP certification and hopes to deepen his technical knowledge of investments and the financial planning field.  Outside the office, Josh stays active by taking walks with his wife, Ena, and puppy, Murphy, and enjoys basketball, snowboarding, hiking and more. During his downtime, he can be found volunteering for his church, reading classic books or watching his favorite Philadelphia sports teams.
