Behind the Scenes at Vance Wealth’s First Development Week
In January, Vance Wealth brought its team together for the firm’s first-ever Development Week, welcoming remote team members to the office for a week centered on connection, growth, and alignment.
The week paired coaching sessions and team meetings with intentional time together — shared lunches, a leadership dinner, an impromptu cocktail hour, and even a hike for a few adventurous team members. The balance of structure and spontaneity created space for meaningful connection across roles.
Bringing the full team together in person helps strengthen the communication, consistency, and collaboration that clients experience throughout the year.
“A lot of the value comes from the moments you can’t schedule,” said Shanele Stoll. “When people have time to connect across roles — whether over lunch, on a walk, or at the end of the day — trust builds naturally.”
A highlight of the week was a podcast-style interview led by Director of Coaching & Implementation Nicole Lewis featuring founder John Vance. Team members heard firsthand why John started Vance Wealth and his vision for the firm’s future, a conversation that resonated with both newer and long-tenured team members.
The week also reflected Vance Wealth’s culture through lighter, behind-the-scenes moments — from tasting Robin’s homemade recipes (scan the link below for the recipe) to closing out the week with a New Year’s celebration.
“Spending intentional time together created clarity in how we communicate and collaborate,” said Brandy Sanchez. “That alignment shows up in the level of care and consistency we’re able to provide our clients every day.”
As Vance Wealth looks ahead to 2026, Development Week is viewed as an ongoing investment in people and systems that support strong collaboration, consistency, and a high-quality client experience.
