From the Desk of John Vance
To Our Vance Wealth Friends and Family,
While we’ve been committed to continuous growth in the office, at home our family has been enjoying the last few months while everything feels the same. We hosted a backyard graduation party with some family and close friends before Lauren and Evan head off to Boise State University in August. We’re all very excited to see them start the next chapter of their lives but until we see them off, we’ll be spending a low-key summer by the pool, appreciating the time we have together.
Since we’re mostly staying local this summer, there’s also been some time for golf. Outside of working out at home, golf has been my favorite outlet for physical activity throughout the pandemic. It’s fun, outdoors – and it gives me something to look forward to. It’s also a great way to connect with friends. A friend and I recently won a tournament at Rams Hill Golf Club in North County San Diego, and another friend of mine came out for the Valencia Country Club Members Classic, which is three days of golf and easily one of the best events of the year.
Though we’ve been enjoying the lazy days of summer at home, in the office we’re growing at a steady pace, and it’s been great to watch the team expand into their new roles. We’ve welcomed Kathy Spencer as our Director of People and Culture, and Jamil Abdullah has joined us as Vance Wealth’s first Portfolio Manager. Both new team members are fitting in well and getting acclimated quickly. We’re excited to see how these two will help us achieve more together.
