To Our Vance Wealth Friends and Family,

The first quarter was an incredible start to the year, bringing my family equal amounts of snow and sunshine, as we kicked off 2019 with trips to the Colorado Mountains and the Cayman Islands.

Carmen, the kids, and I spent the first 10 days of the year focusing on quality family time, as all eight of us hit the slopes in Steamboat, Colorado. For Carmen and the kids, it was their first time on the mountain, so she joined our four teens for a group snowboarding lesson. Our youngest, Addi, spent most of the daylight hours enjoying ski school and even overcame a few fears. On my own I enjoyed rare moments of solitude, allowing me to reflect on the past year, as I got in really nice runs. It was great to see the whole family take to the snow, and we can’t wait to go back. But I think our favorite times were the evenings spent indoors, playing cards and board games until it was time to look forward to the next day.

After the snow, Carmen and I reversed the scenery as we traveled to the Cayman Islands with Raymond James colleagues. I was honored to be invited along with the top 2% of Raymond James financial advisors to attend the trip along with other members of the Leaders Council. This year, we relaxed by the beach, held stingrays, and enjoyed the island’s tranquility. I came back feeling more refreshed than ever — and eager to bring new knowledge to my family of clients at home so we may all achieve more together.
