Financial planning and wealth management have been inherent to John since his childhood. Growing up, he was always interested in saving and managing money. Equally important to him was connecting with people and being a source of help and inspiration. Driven by these two lifelong passions, he opened Vance Wealth in 2003 with one vision: a financial services practice with a client-centric culture dedicated to caring for business and their families. Since then, Vance Wealth has enjoyed designing plans to help clients reach their goals through John’s unique approach to financial planning.

John is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ (CDFA™). His plan-driven approach has been a significant factor in helping Vance Wealth’s clients reach their financial goals and feel confident in their financial future. He has extensive experience working with businesses and families, listening to and addressing their financial concerns, and establishing trust through genuine caring and sound financial stewardship. This care philosophy is embedded in the Vance Wealth DNA, extending to the dedicated team that John has built over the years and continues to mentor.

A Santa Clara University Bachelor of Science graduate with a major in finance and a minor in economics, John has firmly established himself as a thought leader in the financial services industry. Whether educating clients, professionals, or community members, he’s demonstrated a commitment to staying ahead of the rapidly changing financial markets and economic climate. A Los Angeles native, John lives with his wife Carmen and their six children in Santa Clarita. John and Carmen love getting away and traveling to new places together. If John is not in the office, volunteering his time, or traveling, you’ll likely find him on the golf course.
